Further Educational accomplishments: After Fortier, went into the US Army and studied the Korean Language.  Needless to say, went to Korea in 1957-58. Received an Associate in Science from Delgado during my career in the New Orleans Fire Department and a Bachelor's Degree after I retired from the NOFD in 1986.

Family history:  I have two daughters and a son, plus seven grand children.  My oldest daughter lives in Madison, WI. and has 2 boys and a girl. My son lives in Metairie and has a boy and a girl.  My youngest daughter lives in Lima Peru with a boy and a girl.

Achievements and Occupational History: After high school, went into the Army as a translator (Korean).  Joined the New Orleans Fire Department in 1959 as a firefighter, rose through the ranks to Deputy Fire Chief in charge of the Third Platoon of the NOFD.  Retired in 1986.  Taught for Delgado Community College in the Fire Tech program as well as their Shipboard Fire Fighting Program from 1980 until 1996.  In 1990, became an Adjunct Instructor at the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, MD teaching Fire Command around the country. Retired (for good) in 2008.

Fortier Reunions attended: None so far and wish I could attend this one but it appears I will be out of town in 'Wisconsin again.

Other personal comments: It was good to see familiar names again on the rosters, especially the guys from ROTC.
