Margaret, Alice, Ruth........... 1) Margaret* & Harvey Jordan have 3
children, Katie, Sarah, & Henry, live in Mobile;......................
2) Alice, MFA, teacher at Burlington, lives in N. Hero Island,
Vt,. two daughters, Ana & Thea Price-Eckles.....................
3) Ruth** & Joe, Bahama NC, play music, works for Old Time
Herald magazine. * Margaret, ** Ruth are St. Andrew's
(NC) graduates, & Alice, graduate of Bennington (VT).
Achievements and Occupational History: Vice-president of Fortier
student council my last great political achievement; although I am up for
Kiwanis president in the fall. I've taught 5th grade at Gauthier, St. Bernard,
and got my master and teacher certification in the process. I've taught
elementary & middle school in Louisiana, Kansas, and Missouri over 27 years.
After retiring from public ed., I've served as Christian Ed. director for Presbyterian
Church Ft. Scott, and director of The Beacon, an ecumenical and non-profit
assistance agency. Sally has done social work in N.O., and Kansas,
retired after 33 yrs.
Fortier Reunions attended: This 55th will be my first. I was in
N.O. with a youth mission trip, but too mired down, literally, to do or see much.
Other personal comments: I like
to sail (Butterfly) on Lake Fort Scott, nearby. My daughter Margaret
will be racing in N.O. regatta at Southern Yacht Club during reunion. She
is the commodore of her yacht club in Mobile and loves to sail.
