Name of Classmate: Brown, Barbara Ann    Spouse: Richard M. (Buzzy) Gaiennie.    Married 44 years.  Reside in New Orleans.

Further Educational accomplishments:  Attended LSU andTulane Business School.  Managed an OB-GYN Medical Group for 20+ years; and then at Southern Orthopedics for several years. Retired 2 years ago; but didn't care for retirement. Currently working for Dr Brobson Lutz, 2 days a week and love it.

Family history:   Buzzy and I knew each other in 8th grade at Lourdes. Met again in mid 1960's on a train going to LSU/Tulane game in Baton Rouge. We now have 3 children: Bill, (Metairie) is Logistics & Transportation Program Manager, Global Ocean Transport, for Abbott Labs.  Michelle, (N.O.) is Executive Director of Grace House, a treatment facility for women with chemical dependency.  Dana, (San Jose, CA) is a Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator.  We have 5 grandchildren: 2 in Metairie and 3 in San Jose.  All 3 children graduated from college; and the girls have Master's degrees.

Achievements and Occupational History: For 25 years I was co- chair of Sugar Bowl Parties during the week of the Game.  I was co-founder of two of the largest parties we have: the Pat O's/Antoine's Luncheon & Parade and the Pre-game Party. During the recent LSU Championship game, attendance reached 2,200.  Because of Buzzy's involvement with the Sugar Bowl Committee; being CEO of Bridge House and Grace House, I work on the Cochon Cotillion, Woman of Substance, and Feed the Homeless committees.  We have also been involved in the Saints organization.  I have worked with the Wives Charities and was co-chair of the Breakfast of Champions and other events. We've traveled to London and Tokyo with the Saints.  It was such a great time in our lives.  Geaux Saints!  I also am a member of the Tiger Athletic Foundation and still go to Baton Rouge for all the LSU home games.  Forever LSU!  I also started painting 17 years ago.  I donate paintings to Silent Auctions, to raise money for different charities.

Fortier Reunions attended:  Attended all reunions.  In October of 1994, “Fortier '55” was incorporated under the guidance of Jacob Karno.  Gary Hauser was president and I was Secretary/Treasurer.  It has been great fun working on all the reunions.  I’d like to also thank Dick and Nancy Juge for all their work for this our 55th along with all those that helped by contacting so many of our classmates.  We are having a wonderful turnout of old plus many new classmates to attending our reunions for this our 55th Reunion..

Other personal comments:  I feel very fortunate that I was able to attend Fortier.  It was three great years in my life.  We had a terrific class and it has been fun to see everyone at the Reunions over the years.
